[ She takes the opportunity to rest her head on his shoulder while he checks the phone, happy as can be. ]
She used to be a detective. The best one, actually. Left because she got sick of being the only one on the force who actually gave a shit. Now she's in this little vigilante group with a couple other gals. So cute.
I would assume so, if she took the chance of leaving police work to go into vigilantism instead.
[ He can't imagine leaving legit work to fail at being a vigilante. It's just an added bonus that they are able to look after the big guy. He's quick to lean over and steal a kiss from her before getting out of the car and taking his shotgun with him.
He gets out the car and goes around to open her door. Instinctively he offers her a hand to help her up, if she wants it. ]
[ She takes his hand and exits the car with all the poise of a queen and grinning from ear to ear. It's such a simple gesture, but even the barest scrap of chivalry delights her to no end. The rose mace is slung over her shoulder and carried with such ease that it really is hard to tell how heavy and dangerous the weapon could be. ]
[ He's honestly so pleased to see that she really likes the gift he got her. Of course in the future he is hoping to get her less violent gifts, but the goal of it being something that she can use and enjoy will always be priority for him.
Instinctively he walks beside her, his hand moving to rest on the small of her back as his other hand holds his shot gun. ]
Should we kick through the door or do you want to pop in on them and give them a real surprise?
[ He asks, since he's not sure how many of the people from the pictures will be there. But if they are taking down a human trafficking ring than he's not going to care so much about doing things under the radar. ]
[ He laughs at the way she lights up at the choices. ]
Kicking through the front door it is then. I don't know how much time we'll have before police or other vigilantes show up. So the first sign of the police we take the short exit out, okay?
Average police response time in this neighborhood is forty five minutes.
[ Which is why vigilantes stay so busy. She pulls up Renee's contact info and hits the call button. ]
Hey babe, those guys you've been tracking down are at the Busted Ball right now and we're gonna beat the shit out of 'em for ya till you can get here, okay? Love ya, byeeee!
[ She hangs up over Renee's frantic followup questions, and kicks the door open with as much force as she can, which is a considerable amount, and also entirely unnecessary because it wasn't even locked. ]
[ He manages to hold back his laugh as he can hear the frantic 'What?!' on the other side of the phone before Harley hangs up. No doubt her friends were probably scrambling to get their stuff together and get over to the club before he and Harley ruined their chances.
He cocks his shotgun as she kicks the door open hard enough to almost break it off the hinges. The look of the startled bouncers is the first sight he's greeted too. They were faces on Harley's phone, so it is likely they are just guys who work at the club and don't take part of the other parts of the operation.]
Try not to maim these ones, Har. They weren't in your photo gallery.
[ He says to her because it is likely the guys will try to fight them on principle. They did just barge into their place of business. ]

Ah, so she's taking matters into her own hands eh?
[ Which sounded a lot like his brother Diego's mindset on doing vigilante work. He goes to hand Harley back her phone.]
Alright, shall we get going?

[ She nods to confirm she is ready to go and then sits expectantly. He had promised to open her door and she expects a delivery on that promise. ]
